Building Local Capacity for Safe Community Prescribed Fire

The Cohasset Ridge Prescribed Burn Association is working to help landowners, neighbors, and community partners safely bring good fire back to the landscape. Through local leadership, shared resources, hands-on learning, and qualified fire support, we are building the capacity needed to reduce wildfire risk and improve forest health across the Cohasset Ridge area.

We are currently planning a Cohasset Ridge PBA Meet & Greet in Cohasset. This gathering will be an opportunity for members, landowners, neighbors, and community partners to connect, learn more about prescribed fire, and help shape the future of community-led burning in the region.

Help Guide the Cohasset Ridge PBA

We are looking for members interested in serving on the Cohasset Ridge PBA Steering Committee. The time commitment is approximately one hour per month through a Zoom meeting.

Fall Burn Season Planning

The Cohasset Ridge PBA is beginning early planning for the upcoming fall burn season. Members interested in future burn projects, training days, site visits, or volunteer opportunities are encouraged to stay connected and participate in upcoming planning meetings.

The Cohasset Ridge Prescribed Burn Association supports community-based wildfire resilience through hands-on training, prescribed fire education, and field-based learning opportunities.

Our training opportunities are designed for landowners, volunteers, new fire practitioners, and experienced firefighters looking to expand their skills and gain real-world prescribed fire experience.
